It`s been long since that I wanted to write a blog. but it took me quite a while to pen , or rather key in , a few lines to start with. Like many others , what stopped me was not the lack of creativity or the dearth of ideas, but rather sheer laziness - the patience needed to sit down in one place and start typing was quite missing. I could think of a thousand and one reasons to just avoid writing what I wanted to write.
Then came the pandemic - the whole world shutting itself up in self imposed and government enforced lockdowns . After the initial settling down period - while many of our poor fellow compatriots trudged thousands of miles ,battling hunger and other hazards , to reach the comfort of their homes - others started looking for ways to amuse themselves. Youtube started buzzing with activity -almost everyone started making a video showcasing their skills, or in many cases the lack of!
Circumstances , my dear Watson ! Now that we are months into the pandemic and with it showing no signs of slowing down , I picked up my laptop to do what I had dodged so long. I am not sure if I would live up to the expectations of the masses but being brave me , I have decided to take the plunge. As we say in my sweet Tamil language " வந்தால் மலை போனால் மயிறு "
As silly it may sound , I`m attempting to pull the mountain with a strand of hair . The worst that could happen is for the strand to break ...or maybe , I could even be successful in actually moving the mountain a bit !
